Objectives
Qualification as internal auditor of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 and their integrated implementation in the maritime industry.
Entrance requirements
Good prior knowledge of the ISM Code and at least two of the mentioned ISO standards is required.

During this course you will learn how to use internal audits as a management tool for improving the system, as well as the economics, of a business. In accordance with ISO 19011, you will be guided through the steps of an internal audit process. In addition, you will improve your communication skills in order to be able to activate and motivate your auditees for best results. Within the course, state of the art interactive learning methods are employed including case studies and role plays. During group exercises you will develop suitable audit tools, supporting the efficient handling and documentation of internal audits. You will learn how to identify non-conformities against the standard requirements and how to handle root cause analysis and corrective action process. Throughout the course you are guided by our trainers who are well-experienced in implementing and auditing of management systems within shipping companies. Thus the certification auditor perspective is also incorporated. The successful completion of the course is assessed with a final exam.
