Chest Pain Program certification requirements are aligned with our NIAHO® Hospital Accreditation Program and with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Certification of Your Chest Pain Program:
- Validates that your facilities and services meet or exceed standards of care
- Provides leadership with the confidence that the focused effort towards process improvement in chest pain services will:
- Ensure safe and efficient care for all patients experiencing chest pain, and
- Identify and minimize risk to the CPP and host organization
- Certification inspires pride and confidence among staff, patients, and the entire community
CPP Survey Process:
The CPP survey process audits an organization’s CPP in the following areas:- Quality management system
- Program management
- Staffing management
- Infection prevention & control
- CPP service delivery
- The CPP's multidisciplinary approach to patient care
CPP Survey Components:
- CPPs are certified for a three year period subject to an annual survey to verify continuing compliance with CPP requirements
- Annual announced surveys are coordinated with the Applicant Organization
- CPP survey agenda and document request list are provided in advance to assist the organization with survey planning
- DNV client drop box provides ready access to the DNV CPP team for questions or additional information
