Piotr Szalewski, Sr. Principal Engineer - Manager, Houston Approval Center

Piotr Szalewski - image

Mr. Szalewski has over twenty years of professional experience in Maritime and Offshore industries, combining deep theoretical and practical experience of Naval Architecture, Structural Design and Advanced Structural Analysis with Project Management, People Management and Technical Leadership. He worked in Europe, Asia and Americas, and was involved in Class Design Approval, Regulatory Reviews, Technical Advisory, Rule Development and Failure Investigations of offshore floaters and maritime ships. His experience is a blend of detailed design and high level perspective covering entire project and complete asset lifecycle. Piotr has also developed and taught multiple training courses and webinars on structural design, structural analysis and related software applications.

Truls Richardsen, Regional Offshore Manager

Mr. Richardsen is Fleet Responsible with direct technical and client responsibility for a dedicated fleet of mobile offshore drilling units classed with DNV. Key experience in the Digital Transformation in Offshore Classification (OC), implementing ways in which OC can be more efficient and offer more to our customers through digital tools and innovation. Reassessing what we do and developing new ways for improvement through digital means are key goals.High-performing, strategic-thinking Master of Engineering with more than 9 years of experience with the offshore segment and classification services.

Anthony Melomo

After graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Anthony began his career as a shipboard engineer, eventually obtaining his chief engineer’s license. After sailing aboard petroleum vessels, he came ashore to continue in manufacturing. Anthony's expertise quickly shifted to providing engineered solutions to industries such as refining, Petro-chemical, power generation, food and beverage, and offshore oil and gas production. Presently, Anthony is enjoying 11 years with DNV. Initially focused with offshore drilling, he found his way back to his roots. Now a Technical Service Manager in Region Americas Business Development team, Anthony collaborates closely with key maritime clients on issues surrounding Class and statutory compliance, digitalization and decarbonization.
