BIOs
Kevin Mandeville
Kevin is a Principal Engineer with the Certification of Materials and Components, or CMC, section of DNV, in Katy, TX. Kevin’s background includes the design and manufacture of pressure equipment for very demanding applications, including the equipment required for advanced manufacturing methods. For the last eleven years, Mr. Mandeville has focused on certifying designs and the manufacturing of products in accordance with DNV’s rules and standards, with an eye to the coming technologies and methods and how to ensure the next generation of manufacturing will have the highest possible quality.
Ryan Gustafson
Ryan is the Technical Sales Advisor for HMH Drilling Products and has been with the company for over 26 of his 28-year career. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University, his expertise includes equipment packaging, valve/component design, subsea and surface BOP controls systems, BOP stack unitization, and system-level design/integration. Mr. Gustafson is a member of API subcommittee 16, where he is an active participant in task groups API Spec 53, API 16D, API 16TR1, and API 16ST. He is driven to improve safety and efficiency across the oil and gas industry.
Mehdi Matinfar
Mehdi is a Principal Surveyor with Mechanical engineer degree and over 21 years of experience in Inspection /Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) ,certified ASNT Level III specialist.
Over the past 12 years, he has worked with DNV, focusing extensively on certifying oil and gas equipment in accordance with DNV’s rules and standards with an eye to advanced NDT technologies.
As DNV's Corporate Level III, Mr. Matinfar has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive NDT Training Program with a strong emphasis on hands-on training for all U.S. regional surveyors. His initiatives have significantly enhanced the quality of inspection processes across the U.S. region, reinforcing DNV’s commitment to excellence in safety and reliability.
Mr. Matinfar’ s expertise spans a broad range of NDT techniques and industry best practices, making him a key leader in advancing the capabilities of offshore equipment inspection and certification.
Brianna Bruckner
Brianna is a dynamic, global visionary with expertise in events and people organization within a professional business setting. She manages personnel and establishes fruitful professional relationships across industries and nations. During her time at DNV, besides her daily tasks as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for North America, she works as lead on the North America Early Careers Program and works with the global Talent team to provide training and support across the globe to our teams with a goal to bring a unified candidate experience at DNV.
Matt Olson
Matt brings over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including a decade specifically focused on drilling control systems. His career spans sales, project management, and his current role as a product champion for SLB Well Construction Equipment – Cameron BOP Controls. In this position, Matt drives product life cycle management and spearheads new technology development. He is particularly passionate about NPD projects aimed at bolstering the cybersecurity of well construction equipment, a key focus of this presentation. Matt's industry knowledge and passion for innovation ensure the ongoing advancement and protection of vital infrastructure within the energy sector.
Nathan Sumrall
Eleven years into his first job out of college, Nathan Sumrall is challenging the welding norms for the energy sector. While many tried and true practices entrench the world of oil and gas, modernized specifications demand new solutions. As a degreed welding engineer, Nathan works to bridge the gap between idea and reality with a boots-on-the-ground mindset. He specializes in weld overlays and fabrication of subsea connections.
