DNV (U.S.A.), Inc. is accredited under Section 95132, Title 17, California Code of Regulations Section 95100-95133, the mandatory reporting regulations for Greenhouse Gases pursuant to Assembly Bill 32 (the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006) as a verification body able to verify inventories of entities subject to Title 17. DNV has accredited general verifiers and sector specialists in refineries, cement and electricity transactions. Our experienced staff includes experts in the oil and gas, electricity generation, cement and manufacturing sectors.

Emission data Reports in 2010 – specifying GHG emissions from 2009 – must be verified by a California Air Resources Board (CARB) accredited third-party verifier like DNV. This past year, CARB allowed emissions reports to be “certified” by facility/plant managers. Not so going forward.

With over 10 years of experience providing expert consulting for climate change and GHG accounting procedures, DNV has been at the forefront of climate change and the GHG inventory/verification process. DNV has been an accredited California Climate Action Registry (CCAR) third party verifier since 2005 and has performed verifications for refineries, electricity generators, manufacturing companies, private corporations, and local government. Under CCAR DNV has been the verifier for the following leading organizations:
